elevate: The JVS Gala raised over $475,000 to
raise skills, jobs, and careers to new heights
April 26, 2017
Last night, JVS friends gathered at our signature event elevate - The JVS Gala. Together we raised over $475,000 to benefit JVS programs. Whether you joined us this year, or have attended a gala in the past, we wanted to share news of this fabulous event with you, and thank you for your support.
We were proud to honor David Rosenberg, for his championship of the Transitions to Work program, which empowers young adults with disabilities to develop job skills to launch their careers. David currently employs four Transitions to Work graduates at Prime Motor Group, including Becca Biller and Isaac Varón, who presented David with the Community Leadership Award last night.
We were honored to welcome Special Guest Governor Charlie Baker and First Lady Lauren Baker. Thank you to the Governor for his thoughtful remarks last night and for his continued support of workforce development initiatives in Massachusetts.
Thank you to David Rosenberg and Campe Goodman for leading a record-breaking live appeal, which raised over $90,000! Thank you to all of you who pledged to support JVS's work. You may fulfill your pledge commitment online or by mailing a check to our office (Attn: Development, 75 Federal Street, 3rd Floor, Boston MA 02110).
Thank you to our client ambassadors, who shared inspiring stories of how JVS has elevated their lives. In particular, thank you to our featured speakers Natacha Faustin, Max Laroche, Becca Biller, Isaac Varón, and Moses Kabwe, who uplifted us with their inspiring stories last night.
