Founded in 1938 to assist Jewish immigrants and refugees, JVS has broadened the populations it serves and continues to help thousands of clients annually as they work for a better life. We offer 35 different programs to help each of our clients find their own pathway to economic success.

One of the programs we are proud to offer is our Refugee Employment Services program. Each year, we help 500 refugees and asylum seekers learn English and find their first job in the United States. During these uncertain times, we provide a respectful and supportive place for our clients. Our committed instructors and career coaches are making a powerful difference for these men and women who come from all over the world and are pursuing the American dream.

Our staff at JVS Boston are making an impact by:
• Working closely with families in ways that move beyond job placement and teaching English for employment.
• Explaining new work eligibility documentation to employers, so that they can still hire our clients.
• Easing emotional trauma by connecting our clients and their families to resources across Greater Boston.

Fall is a season of new beginnings - please consider supporting JVS to bring new beginnings to the people who most need them.
