This year's elevate - The JVS Gala was a huge success!  A record-breaking 430 people attended the event which raised nearly $400,000Can you spot any friends in these photos?

We were excited to have many special guests attend, including Robert Kraft, Barry Shrage, Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Joanne Goldstein, Representative Ken Gordon, Representative Kay Kahn, Representative Tom Sannicandro, and City Councilor Josh Zakim.

We were proud to honor Governor Deval Patrick for his leadership in promoting opportunity and inclusion through jobs, education, and training for residents of Massachusetts, and pleased to recognize employer partners from the Transitions to Work program for their commitment to inclusive hiring practices and employing individuals with disabilities. Be sure to check out this Transitions video which showcases the impact the program has on its students and employer partners.

We were also inspired by the personal story of Robbie Mikels, a graduate of the Transitions to Work program, who shared his struggles and ultimate success in finding meaningful employment.

We want to thank our Gala Host Committee Chairs, Robert Beal and Jay and Shira Ruderman; the Host Committee members; our Gala Planning Chair, Margie Glazer; and the Planning Committee: Catherine Bromberg, Marna Dolinger, Rebecca Glucklich, Joe Goodman, Jane Matlaw, Eric Ritvo, and Ellen Segal.

Thank you for supporting JVS. We hope you can join us at next year's gala!
