Welcome to JVS!

JVS is a non-sectarian organization that helps businesses hire, train, retain and promote their employees. JVS also provides job search, employment assistance, education, training, career development, and support to individuals from all backgrounds.

JVS services include a number of specialized programs to meet the unique needs of the Jewish community, including programs for professionals and individuals with disabilities.

Last year, JVS served more than 14,000 individuals in greater Boston. We provided intensive education, training and employment services to 3,247 individuals, 75% of whom were below 150% of the federal poverty level. An additional nearly 9,000 individuals participated in self-directed job search and education services. Of the 1,640 individuals who received pre-employment training and placement services, 83% were placed in jobs at an average wage of $12.00 per hour, and nearly 80% retained their job for at least 12 months.
